Intro
I offer wedding photography in Japan for couples who want the day photographed with a quieter, less directed approach. I work in English and am particularly well suited to international couples planning a wedding in Japan who want clear communication and coverage informed by documentary observation rather than constant staging.
Wedding Coverage in Japan
I currently offer two core options for wedding coverage in Japan: half-day coverage and full-day coverage. If more time is needed, full-day coverage can be extended to 10 hours or 12 hours. International weddings are quoted individually, with travel and accommodation charged separately.
What’s Included
Both wedding coverage options include post-production, digital delivery, a private online gallery, and a non-exclusive usage licence for the uses described in the Wedding Photography FAQs.
Travel, accommodation, and any other third-party costs are not included in the published rates. Where they apply, they are quoted separately and must be paid in advance before any related bookings are made.
- This option suits shorter weddings, smaller celebrations, or more compact coverage in Japan.
- (Half-day coverage is available only for weddings in Japan.)
- This is the better fit for couples who want the fuller shape of the day documented, from arrivals and preparations through to the ceremony, celebrations, and the quieter moments in between.
Extended Full-Day Coverage
If more time is needed, full-day coverage can be extended as follows:
- Up to 10 hours: +¥75,000
- Up to 12 hours: +¥150,000
This is intended for weddings that begin earlier, run later, or include additional travel, preparations, or celebrations beyond standard full-day coverage.
All prices shown are in Japanese yen and include Japanese consumption tax.
International Weddings
International weddings are quoted individually. As a starting point, I offer full-day coverage for weddings outside Japan, with travel days, flights, accommodation, local transportation, and any related third-party costs charged separately.
For international weddings, a minimum of two nights’ accommodation is required.

Image Delivery
Edited images are usually delivered within 4 to 8 weeks of the wedding, depending on schedule and the scale of the coverage. If you need images sooner, expedited delivery or a small set of early highlights may be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
Final images are delivered only after all invoices have been paid in full.
Photobooks
Photobooks are available as an optional add-on and are quoted separately. Pricing varies according to size, materials, page count, cover type, and whether parent copies or additional books are required.
As a general guide, photobooks usually begin at around ¥60,000, with larger or more elaborate books priced accordingly.
Photobooks are usually designed after final image delivery. A design preview typically follows within 2 to 4 weeks of gallery delivery, with production and dispatch usually taking a further 4 to 6 weeks after final approval, depending on the product and lab.
If you would like a photobook, I can provide a separate quotation once we have discussed the format and finish you have in mind.
Payment Terms
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve the date. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining service balance is due 30 days before the wedding.
If the booking is made within 30 days of the wedding, the remaining service balance is due immediately.
