I work in English and am particularly well suited to international couples planning a wedding in Japan who want clear communication, calm coverage, and photographs shaped by observation rather than staging.

Wedding Coverage in Japan
I currently offer three coverage options for weddings in Japan: Intimate Coverage, Half-Day Coverage, and Full-Day Coverage. If more time is needed, full-day coverage can be extended to 10 hours or 12 hours. International weddings are quoted individually, with travel and accommodation charged separately.
What’s Included
All published wedding coverage options include careful post-production, digital image delivery, a private online gallery, and a non-exclusive usage licence for the uses described in the Wedding Photography FAQs.
Travel, accommodation, and any other third-party costs are not included in the published rates. Where they apply, they are quoted separately and must be paid in advance before any related arrangements are confirmed.
All prices shown are in Japanese yen (¥) and include Japanese consumption tax.
Intimate Coverage
Duration: Up to 2 hours
¥180,000
Intimate Coverage is designed for elopements, civil ceremonies, and small weddings where a short but meaningful part of the day can be photographed naturally. It is best suited to simple, focused celebrations where the most important moments happen within a compact schedule.
The coverage is quiet, observational, and documentary-led – centred on the ceremony, the people present, the atmosphere around the day, and the moments that unfold without staging the day or interrupting its flow.
Half-Day Coverage
Duration: Up to 4 hours
¥295,000
Half-Day Coverage is ideal for couples who want the main shape of the wedding documented without extending into full-day coverage. It gives enough time for the story to breathe – arrivals, preparations, anticipation, the ceremony itself, and part of the celebration afterwards.
It works especially well for smaller weddings, family celebrations, and compact wedding days in Japan with a clear beginning, centre, and close.
Full-Day Coverage
Duration: Up to 8 hours
¥450,000
Full-Day Coverage is the strongest option for couples who want the wedding documented as a complete story. It allows the day to unfold naturally – from preparations and arrivals through to the ceremony, reception, speeches, celebrations, and the quieter moments that often become the photographs people return to years later.
This is the best fit for couples who want documentary wedding photography with depth, continuity, and atmosphere, without turning the day into a photoshoot.
Extended Full-Day Coverage
If more time is needed, Full-Day Coverage can be extended as follows:
- Up to 10 hours: ¥525,000 total
- Up to 12 hours: ¥600,000 total
Extended Full-Day Coverage is designed for weddings with a longer natural shape: early preparations, later celebrations, multiple locations, extended receptions, or a schedule that needs more breathing room.
For couples who want the most complete documentary record of the day, this offers the greatest continuity and the strongest overall value.
Weddings Outside Japan
For weddings outside Japan, coverage is quoted individually and normally begins from a full-day coverage structure. Travel days, flights, accommodation, local transportation, and any related third-party costs are charged separately.
For international weddings, a minimum of two nights’ accommodation is required.

Image Delivery
Edited images are usually delivered within 4 to 8 weeks of the wedding, depending on my schedule and the scale of the coverage. If you need images sooner, expedited delivery or a small set of early highlights may be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
Final images are delivered only after all invoices have been paid in full.
Photobooks
Photobooks are available as an optional add-on and are quoted separately. Pricing varies according to size, materials, page count, cover type, and whether parent copies or additional books are required.
As a general guide, photobooks usually begin at around ¥60,000, with larger or more elaborate books priced accordingly.
Photobooks are usually designed after final image delivery. Once the final gallery has been delivered, I can provide a separate quotation based on the format and finish you have in mind.
Payment Terms
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve the wedding date. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding.
If the booking is made within 30 days of the wedding, the full service fee is due at the time of booking.
